While you stand in front of your mirror and gaze at your own reflection, you go on carrying out your daily beauty regime of cleansing, toning and moisturizing. Decades pass by but you continue in your attempt to remove those fine wrinkle lines, maintain skin elasticity, and illuminate your complexion – all in an effort to turn back the time and maintain your youth. You are not alone. Almost all women around the world, driven by the advertisements, take these steps, and long to hide the signs of ageing. Science has helped us by providing an array of compounds which may lessen these effects as we age. In fact, a lot of research is being done in this field, which includes a lot of scientists working to uncover the secrets that lie behind maintaining fine skin.

So the next time you come across an advertisement for an anti-ageing beauty product for your skin, do not think it is a bag full of rubbish. Remember the amount of toil, time and money that goes behind actual scientific research that helps device these products.
